Dyersburg Electric System

Payment Options Update

Beginning August 1, 2026, Dyersburg Electric System (DES) customers will no longer be able to make payments at any of the First Citizens National Bank locations due to their recent acquisition by Park National Bank.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this change may cause. We would like to remind you that you can pay in person at our 211 E. Court office location. We also offer drive thru service for payments at this same location. Additionally, we have other payment options listed here on this site. As a reminder, DES payments can still be made at Security Bank and Simmons Bank.

DES building

Since 1902, Dyersburg Electric System has proudly served the Dyersburg community, starting with the purchase of a light and water plant. In 1957, DES partnered with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to provide affordable, reliable electricity at wholesale rates. Today, DES remains committed to delivering safe, reliable, and competitively priced energy solutions. As a municipally owned utility, we promote growth, economic development, and efficient energy use. Governed by a five-member board, DES continues to provide exceptional service to meet the needs of Dyersburg’s residents and businesses.

Today was the perfect attendance awards at Holice Powell Elementary School, and we couldn’t be prouder of these kids!

We had 11 amazing students who didn't miss a single day for the entire school year. To celebrate that huge accomplishment, Dyersburg Electric System awarded each of them $50.

We also got to celebrate all the students who had perfect attendance for the 9-week period. They earned $5 and a fun pizza party!

Showing up every day takes a lot of hard work from both the students and their families. Congratulations to everyone at Holice Powell Elementary—enjoy the well-deserved rewards!
