Vegetation Management (or Tree Trimming Services):Ensuring Reliable Power
At Dyersburg Electric, we prioritize the safety and reliability of your electrical service. Our tree Trimming Program is designed to maintain safe clearance between trees and power lines to prevent outages, hazards, and service disruptions.
What You Need To Know
Proper Pruning Techniques: We follow industry best practices for tree pruning, including side trims and V-trims, to ensure healthy growth while keeping branches away from power lines.
Safety First: Please do not attempt to trim trees near power lines yourself. If a tree is within ten feet of a power line, contact us for assistance to avoid injury or damage.
What to Expect
Tree Inspection: Our crews will inspect trees near power lines in your area. If work is required, we will leave a Tree Trimming Notice at your door outlining the specific actions to be taken.
If we do not hear from you within five days of receiving the notice, our crews will proceed with the scheduled trimming and cleanup. If you would like a tree marked with a white dot to be removed instead of trimmed, please contact us, and we will reassess your property.
Trimming Guidelines:
- Trees marked with a spot of white at the base will be trimmed.
- Trees marked with a white “X” will be removed.
- Brush under power lines will be cleared to ensure safety.
Customer Responsibilities
- Please contact us if you have concerns about marked trees or access to your property.
- If you do not own the property, notify the property owner so they are aware of the program.
